On Wednesday October 19, Marcela Hughes,partner of Hughes & Hughes, was awarded in Bogotá as "Mentoring Lawyerof the year" by the prestigious publication Chambers & Partners in the Chambers Women in Law Awards: Latin America 2016.
These Awards reflect outstanding contributions to furthering the advancement of women in the law through gender diversity,inclusion, promotion programmes, and mentoring.
Marcela Hughes is co-responsible partner of the Corporate Department and head of Mergers and Acquisitions Department of the Firm. She is evaluated by clients as a person who has high professional standards, an incredible level of energy, strong commitment and knowledge of the client´s business and that always will always go the extra mile to support the client.
Marcela is a practitioner devoted to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession. The positions she has occupied and currently occupies are examples of her having reached places which are remotely occupied by women, especially in Latin America.
