Beginning in the spring semester of 2013, Hector Ferreira will teach a seminar on Mergers & Acquisitions, along with Alicia Ferrer, at the Catholic University, School of Law. This course is business-oriented and it is intended for lawyers, notaries, accountants and other professionals who are involved in this type of deals.
M&A deals are becoming increasingly frequent in corporate practice, challenging lawyers and other professionals with complex transactions not only in their structure but also in their negotiation and execution. These transactions have gained in sophistication and gradually expanded to become a worldwide phenomenon with international and standardized rules.
This seminar will have a practical and international approach which will include the different types of acquisitions and mergers, common in Uruguayan practice and throughout the world.
