Professional Development

When we hire someone we let them know that we want them to be able to develop in our firm: personally, professionally and economically, in that order. With this purpose, we invest a lot of time and resources in presenting people how to navigate effectively through the Firm´s culture and through the challenges of the legal profession.

  • Development: we encourage and support professional development and networking in our lawyers.
  • Work-life balance: we prioritize that our professionals be able to achieve their own personal and professional balance. We offer flexibility and support to achieve this balance, to women especially.
  • Mentoring: we encourage people to feel free to choose the seniors and peers with whom they feel comfortable with and at ease in order to fit into the Firm´s culture and to seek professional advice. We want everybody to develop their legal and emotional skills.
  • Collaboration: we encourage our professionals to work together in harmony to achieve a common objective, and not compete with each other.
  • Surveys: internal satisfaction surveys are conducted every year to achieve a better place to work.
  • Healthy habits: we promote healthy eating habits by providing fresh fruit in the office every week.
  • Family: we think it is very important that children learn about the physical place where their parents work and share a time of real work at their desks. Every year we organize a special day and invite them to spend a day at the firm where they share lunch and games, and entertainment is performed.
  • Integration: we organize activities to promote interaction, integration and good relationships among all our employees.

  • H&H signed the CEO Statement of Support for the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEP´s). The WEPs are the result of a collaboration between the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) to create a platform and framework for action for companies to promote gender equality and to signal their support for the overall goal of advancing and empowering women.
