PRO-BONO: Scout Movement of Uruguay

Hughes & Hughes became the honorary firm of the Scout Movement of Uruguay.

The activity lead by this organization in the dissemination and education of children and young people in important values ​​such as honesty, hard work, integrity, leadership, self-confidence and concern for the welfare of society is what will help build the future of our country" said Hector Ferreira, partner of the firm.

The International Scout Movement was founded by the British Lord Robert Baden-Powell in 1907. It is a popular youth movement that emphasizes recreational activities with educational objectives, outdoor activities and community service, the latter with the object to build character and teach practical human values.

The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are made to feel as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

The World Scout Movement is today a confederation of 162 National Scout Organizations with a network of more than 40 million members in more than 1 million Scout groups in local communities.
