On 11th and 12th June the X Rioplatense Conferences of Taxation organized by the Instituto Uruguayo de Estudios Tributarios (IUET) and the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales (AAEF) were held.
The event took place at Imperium Building Montevideo where a large number of professionals from Argentina and Uruguay participated. The first topic addressed at the conference was the "Comparative analysis of tax regimes in the agricultural sector."
Cr. Santiago Saenz Valiente (National Rapporteur Argentina) and H&H associate, Cr. Miguel Rocca (National Rapporteur Uruguaya), opened the conference expounding on the taxation on income in the agricultural sector in both countries.
Subsequently, the Cr. Osvaldo Balaam (Argentina) and Cra. Montserrat González (Uruguay) spoke about consumer taxes and equity within the agricultural sector.
The "Comparative analysis of the tax dispute at the administrative and jurisdictional level" and "Experience of the Tax Court of the Nation Argentina, history, present and future" were other topics discussed at the conference.
The conference ended with a presentation of the summaries and conclusions by the National Rapporteurs of both countries.
